Helping Others Through Gratitude

 

It is wonderful to be grateful for what we have, but we can also use gratitude to improve the lives of others.

Rhonda Byrne, in the book The Magic, says, “Energy flows where you intention goes. When you direct the energy of gratitude toward another person’s needs, that’s where the energy goes.

Gratitude is an invisible but real force of energy and coupled with the energy of your desire is just like having a magic wand.”

Think of three people you know are struggling. You can get their picture to add energy to your visualization.

Look at the picture and then close your eyes for one minute and visualize the person’s health, wealth or happiness fully restored.

Then, feel grateful as if you are receiving this news. 

Say, “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”

Because the Universe has provided what they wanted and what you would love for them to receive.

Attitude of Gratitude

 

 

During the month of November many of us give thanks for the fun stuff, but do we give thanks for our challenges as well? 

Watch the attached video on how to increase your abundance regardless of your current situation.

It’s important to have an “Attitude of Gratitude” no matter what is going on in our lives. 

For example, when I was a sign language interpreter, I broke my hand and had to be out of work for over a month. 

I went from pity and worry to an “Attitude of Gratitude” and realized how I can be thankful for my hand.

I became appreciative on how easy it was to wash my hair or sign my name. There were so many things I took for granted before my hand was damaged.

In those moments of your life that don’t feel so great, change it to an “Attitude of Gratitude” and be thankful for those harsh moments.

I would love to challenge you to be thankful of 10 situations in your life that did not feel great at the time, but you learned to appreciate them later.

Gratitude will increase your level of abundance and improve your mental health especially in the hardest of times.

 

Praying for The Highest Good

 

There has been a lot of tension in our country over the past few months because of the election.

I would like to give you some encouraging words, so we may come together again and feel peace.

 

I believe in UNITY.  This means are all ONE.

We are all connected from the same energy regardless of which country we are from or which culture we are a member.

In order to come to a more peaceful place, we can pray/meditate for the “HIGHEST GOOD FOR ALL.”

This is letting go of the outcome and allowing our Higher Power to make the best decision for all human kind.

Sometimes we don’t like the outcome, but eventually we know it is for our greatest good.

Today, I would love to encourage you to focus on the peace you would like to see in our country and trust that the Universe has our best interests in mind.

Letting Go of Guilt

 

Living with guilt can destroy our lives.

It is okay to feel guilty if you know internally you have done something wrong
because it keeps us guided on a better path.

BUT remaining in guilt and staying with the thoughts of I am not worthy is not good for us.

When you do feel guilty, make the commitment to make a different choice the next time and then FORGIVE YOURSELF.

You must move on and out of that negativity, so you can love yourself as others
love you.

Embrace Change and Love Life

 

We can TRY to hold on to the present moment or circumstance, but life is forever changing.

This is so true. 

We might change a job or change relationships, what our house looks like, even if we are keeping it clean or not.

The only thing that remains the same is change.

BUT love can always stay in your heart and grow.

Experiences from the past are gone, but you can remember the love and the good times. 

If you find yourself trying to grab on to control and keep something in your life, remember it WILL change.

Only the love in your heart remains the same. Live in the moment of LOVE.

Quiet Contemplation

 

We were given a soul when we came to this earth to live and love and that same soul will go with us when we die.

This video has a beautiful excerpt from the book Life Lessons by Elizabeth Kubler Ross & David Kessler to help us contemplate who we really are.

“You undoubtedly have faults, but they are not you.

You may have a disease, but you are not your diagnosis.

You may be rich, but you are not your credit rating.

You’re not your resume, your neighborhood, your grades, your mistakes, your body,

your roles or your titles.

All these things are not yours because they are changeable.

There is a part of you that is undefinable and changeless.

Who you are is eternal and that will never change.”

When you consider today, “Who am I?” Contemplate if you are living by your title and your salary, or are you living by your soul and love?

Something to think about.

Becoming the Observer Self

 

Sometimes we have constrictive thoughts, arguments with other people in our heads, or thoughts of fear and negativity that do not serve us. 

Those thoughts are limiting us because they aren't taking us to the higher fulfillment of what we can be  

How can we find peace?

First, we recognize the body and if it is feeling constrictive and also the thoughts that we do not like.

Next, we become what is called the “observer self”. This is when we step back and look at ourselves as if we are outside of the situation looking in. You detach emotionally as if you are another person watching what is happening.

You say to yourself, “This is not the state I want to be in. I want to have a peaceful state of mind.”

Again, we recognize how our body feels and notice what's happening with our mind. You then decide how you would prefer to feel and change your thoughts.

So today, I want to encourage you to become an “observer self."  Regain control of your thoughts and feelings.

You can feel peaceful again.

Letting Go of Trying to Control

 

Letting go of a situation when you are wanting a different outcome can be difficult.

This will be the last video you see with my niece for a while because her mom has decided to move to Arizona.

Do I like this decision? NO. Did I beg her mom to stay? YES

I would love to have her near me, but that is not their path right now. Everyone has a different path, and it's important we honor it whether we feel it is the right decision or not.

I have no control of her leaving, but I can do what I can to see her as often as possible. I have already bought my plane tickets to go visit her in a month!

I cannot control this situation as much as I would like to, so I am letting her go in peace instead of resistance.
